SPEAKER PROFILES
Professor Syed Haq
Consultant Physician and Founder of The London Preventative Medicine Centre, UK. Prof. Haq, MB.BS., BSc. (HON), Ph.D., DIC, MRCP(UK) is the Clinical and Scientific Director of Daval International Ltd., a biopharmaceutical company developing a platform for the treatment of autoimmune, neurodegenerative and inflammatory conditions using a patented polyclonal antibody/peptide composite. He has worked/trained at some of the foremost institutions - Guy’s Hospital, Hammersmith and Royal Brompton Hospitals, Imperial College, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Tufts University, New England Medical Center Hospitals Inc. Prof. Haq has published peer-reviewed articles in several internationally renowned scientific journals including Nature Medicine. He has been co-chairman of the Anti-ageing Conference London (2008-11), and has been an invited presenter/speaker at numerous international conferences alongside receiving several national and international awards/fellowships.
Dr Christine Coffey
Aesthetic Doctor, UK and Training Doctor for PronoKal. Dr Coffey graduated from Cambridge in 2003 and completed her Clinical Medical Training at King’s, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School. Following a number of years of working at St Thomas’ Hospital and practicing Cosmetic Medicine alongside her NHS work, she moved into full-time Non-Surgical Aesthetics in 2009 and now specialises solely in Aesthetics Medicine. She specialises in a wide range of Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures with her main area of interest being injectables and skin-rejuvenation techniques. Dr Coffey has worked with PronoKal as a Prescribing Doctor for the last year and more recently has been working with them as their first UK Training Doctor: training other Doctors to become PronoKal prescribers.
Mr Basim Matti
Consultant Plastic Surgeon,UK. Mr Matti is the United Kingdom secretary for ISAPS, (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons as well as the British Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the BAAPS counsel. His main interest in cosmetic plastic surgery is facelift and rhinoplasty's, as well as breast surgery and liposuction. He has performed more than one thousand facelifts and seven hundred and fifty rhinoplasty's, both primary and secondary. He is a well-known teacher for aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery, both in the United Kingdom and abroad and has been a frequent contributor to the meeting in the United Kingdom, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and British association of Plastic Surgeons for the last fifteen years.
Dr Rupert Gabriel
General Practitioner, UK. Dr Gabriel is Medical Director of the Snowberry Lane Clinic, and has a special interest in dermatology, minor surgical procedures and aesthetics - in particular body contouring. As a practicing General Practitioner, Dr Gabriel specialises in training other doctors in surgical techniques, skin surgery, radio-frequency surgery, cosmetic laser treatments and is the national trainer for SmartLipo and Body Tite. He is supported by an experienced team of medical and nursing staff and together they pride themselves in providing an exceptional and responsible level of service.
Mr Bryan Mayou
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, UK. Mr Mayou has vast experience in body contouring having introduced liposuction into the UK in 1982. He now runs the Cadogan Clinic in central London, providing incomparable facilities for all types of body contouring, vein and cosmetic surgery.
Dr Soren Denim
Dr Demin studied for his M.Phil and PhD degrees at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology under the supervision of Professor E.A.H Hall in the Analytical Biotechnology group. His research is aimed at helping understanding of how biology can be interfaced with electronic components and is applicable in areas of bio sensing, photovoltaics and organic computing. He has been previously awarded the Future Leaders in Biotechnology prize, The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Ronald Belcher Award and is a multiple Cambridge blue. He has also worked on technical due diligence with investment banks and hedge funds in Biotechnology and pharma field, before starting his current venture with Harley Street Skin Clinic.
Mr Ravi Jandhyala
Mr Jandhyala is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, and a founding member of the UKBTGA. He has 7 years’ experience in Aesthetics, and also consults for the pharmaceutical industry as a pharmaceutical physician. Mr Jandhyala is an expert in the science behind Botulinum Toxin for aesthetics and has been Associate Medical Director at a manufacturer of a marketed Botulinum Toxin. More recently, he has designed and implemented the world’s first BoNT-A registry of use aimed at mapping the face, and providing a definitive guide to dosing each anatomical area by wrinkle severity for each toxin. Mr Jandhyala is currently running a number of studies in the use of Botulinum Toxin out of his clinic situated in Banbury. He works alongside his wife who is an aesthetics nurse. As a result of the work that he has carried out with the UKBTGA and through his own research institute, he is regularly invited to speak at aesthetics congresses.
Dr Aamer Khan
Cosmetic Physician & General Practitioner, UK Dr Khan is one of the UK’s leading experts in cosmetic and non-surgical procedures and is renowned for his finely tuned aesthetic eye and subtle approach to cosmetic enhancements. He is the Clinical and Managing Director of the Harley Street Skin Clinic. Dr Khan qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 1986 and has 14 years of experience in non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical procedures. He has been a key note speaker at many scientific congresses and has recently featured as an expert in cosmetic procedures on ITV1 This Morning.
Mr Taimur Shoaib
Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, UK. Mr Shoaib is a Consultant in the NHS at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, a Consultant at the Glasgow Nuffield private hospital, and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Glasgow. He runs a cosmetic practice at his personal clinic in Glasgow, La Belle Forme and has an NHS practice at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit treating cancers of the face and mouth. He regularly teaches on cosmetic surgery, has chaired cosmetic surgery scientific meetings, and runs a botulinum and filler training course where he teaches doctors, dentists and nurses about non surgical treatments.

Director and Principal Scientist, Ambicare Health, UK. Dr McNeill completed a PhD in molecular physics before taking up a postdoctoral research position focussed on investigating novel light sources and illumination regimes for phototherapy. During this time Dr McNeill joined Ambicare Health, and as part of the start-up team has have been involved in all aspects of the fund-raising and commercialisation of this business. He is responsible for basic research and product development at Ambicare, and has written numerous patents in the area of clinical phototherapy. Dr McNeill also currently holds an honorary research fellowship at Ninewells Hospital Dundee.
Mr Samer Zino
Plastic Surgery surgical trainee at Glasgow. Mr Zino will be presenting on a project that was performed in The Golden Jubilee National Hospital during his clinical research fellowship with Mr Shailesh Vadodaria.
Dr Bruce Freedman
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, USA; Dr. Freedman graduated from Duke University School of Medicine in 1982 and is currently the medical director of Plastic Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia. Dr. Freedman is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With over 40 publications in medical journals and textbooks, Dr. Freedman continues to perform research and lectures nationally on the latest developments in cosmetic surgery.
Mr Azhar Aslam
Mr Aslam furthered his expertise in Cosmetic Surgery, training and working in America , Mexico and Germany, obtaining a Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons in 1999. Azhar continued to work in the NHS, fnally working as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, where he helped set up a specialist hand unit. He left the NHS in 2000 to work privately and has since built up a private Cosmetic Surgery practice in Harley Street, London. Azhar works from other clinics located across the UK as well. He has worked actively with the Department of Health, IHA and expert groups to improve the regulation of the cosmetic surgery industry. He has worked as panel advisor to the European Academy for Cosmetic Surgery and was the Academic Secretary of the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons.
Dr Hugo Kitchen
Cosmetic Physician, UK. Dr Kitchen is medical director of the Stratford Dermatherapy Clinic, founded in 1988. He is a founder member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors and has a special interest in minimally invasive non-surgical skin rejuvenation, laser lipolysis & VASER, and body and breast reshaping with Macrolane.
Dr Fernando Urdiales Gálvez
Aesthetic Doctor, Spain. Dr Urdiales Galvez is vice-president of the Aesthetic Medicine section of the Medical College of Málaga. He is Director and owner of the Miramar Medical Institute, with two centres, 38 lasers and light devices and 43 employees including 11 doctors. At present, it is the only medical centre in Spain with the AENOR ISO 9001 quality norm certificate in Aesthetic medicine and surgery. Miramar Medical Institute has trained over the last ten years more than 240 doctors from all over the world and published 17 papers related to Laser and Intense Pulsed Light.
Dr Kate Goldie
Clinical Director of Medics Direct (Europe) Ltd, UK; Dr Goldie runs one the UK's largest aesthetics training companies. She is also the Medical Director of the Advanced Rejuvenation Clinic, Glasgow. She regularly trains in advanced aesthetics techniques throughout Europe.
Professor Cemal Senyuva
Plastic Surgeon, Turkey; Dr Senyuva is an active member of ISAPS (The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), SOFCEP (Société Française des Chirurgiens Esthétiques Plasticiens), A4M (American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine) and TPRECD (Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive ve Aesthetic Surgeons Society). He is also vice president of the Turkish Aesthetic Surgeons Society (EPCD). He has published more than one hundred national and international publications and presentations.
Louise Morgan
Solicitor, LLB (Hons), Dip Clinical Risk and Claims Management. Louise is a Solicitor with 11 years’ post-qualification experience. She has represented both Claimants and Defendants in the clinical negligence setting and has also gained experience as an Insurance Underwriter for after the event insurance. In her current role, Louise advises and represents members in relation to claims for compensation arising from allegedly negligent treatment. Louise also writes medico-legal articles for MPS publications to assist members in considering ways to avoid common complaints being made. Louise is also responsible for arranging training for her legal colleagues.
Dr Nada Soueidan
Consultant Dermatologist, Lebanon. Dr Soueidan works at Elysee Hospital, Riyadh, KSA; Head of Dermatology Department, Medical and Cosmetics Skin Care Center, Lebanon; Head of Dermatology Department for Obagi Center, Cairo & Medical Director of NuYuMedispa Beirut Lebanon. She has taught Doctors on different cosmetic procedures (peels, botox, fillers and others) in both Obagi Cosmetics and Dermatology Centers, Cairo & Alexandria and in NU YU Medispa Beirut. Dr Soueidan is constantly preparing public seminars to increase public awareness on medical as well as cosmetic issues in the dermatology fields and is actively involved in T.V interviews on health shows in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology.
Mr Mark Whiteley
Consultant Vascular Surgeon, UK: Mr Whiteley specialises in walk-in, walk-out surgery for varicose veins. He performed the first endovenous “keyhole” surgery for varicose veins in the UK in March 1999. His clinic, The Whiteley Clinic, has been at the forefront of developments in this field over the last decade and his team have won a regional and national prizes for their research in vein treatments. With a commitment to training, Mark Whiteley runs regular courses for thread vein and varicose vein treatments at The Clinical Exchange.

Dr Samantha Hills
Clinical and Training Manager, Lynton Lasers Ltd, UK. Dr Hills completed a first degree in Physics, followed by a PhD in Physics and Pharmaceutical Sciences, working in the field of light responsive drug delivery. After graduation, Dr Hills continued to work in a Post-Doctoral position at The University of Manchester carrying out research into laser and other light based methodologies. Dr Hills joined Lynton Lasers in 2001 and used her research experience to develop a clinical research program for Lynton, which uniquely combines her laser expertise with the diverse medical experiences of plastic surgeons, dermatologists and leading therapists practising in the UK. Dr Hills has been asked to contribute to a number of books on laser and light treatments and has published over 20 papers in a variety of medical and scientific journals. She also regularly gives presentations on the topic of skin interactions of lasers and light at beauty and medical symposia.
Mr Ash Mosahebi
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, UK. Mr Mosahebi qualified at Guy's & St Thomas Medical School in London. Mr Mosahebi's Plastic surgical training was in London Deanery in some of the largest and busiest hospitals in UK. Mr Mosahebi is the author of a number of publications and has lectured extensively worldwide. Mr Mosahebi is also involved in pioneering research work on regenerating new tissues through new biomaterials and tissue engineering. His practice at Spire Bushey consists of cosmetic surgery & reconstructive cases. He was one of the first consultants to perform Vaser liposuction in UK. His area of expertise is body sculpturing and breast re-shaping. He also has extensive experience on facial rejuvenation both surgically and using non-surgical techniques.
Geoff Bond
Geoff Bond’s speciality is Lifestyle Anthropology. Mr Jan Stanek
Jan Stanek qualified at Oxford University in 1975 and spent the next 9 years training in General and Plastic Surgery in the NHS. He left the NHS in 1984 and spent 2 years as an Assistant in Plastic Surgery Private Practice and subsequently worked for several Cosmetic Clinics in the Private Sector. He works from his Clinic, Surgical Aesthetics, and his main interests are Facial plastic Surgery, facial endoscopy, breast and body contouring surgery. Currently he is a Visiting Professor in Surgery at University of Brno, Czech Republic and continues to teach and publish on the subject of Cosmetic Surgery.
Mr Miles Berry
Consultant Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeon, UK. After training around the globe including Australia, France and the UK, Mr Berry now practises in London. His strong scientific interest was stimulated during times as a Lecturer in Surgery at Universities of London and Sydney and a Master of Surgery was awarded for original research into a patented treatment for breast cancer. Professor Marco Gasparotti
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Italy. Professor Gasparotti is a world famous plastic surgeon who pioneered the concept of superficial liposculpture. It led to the publication of the 'bible' in this discipline, "Superfical Liposculpture", in 1992 and he became the 1st person to receive the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery's "Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery" Award consecutively in 2001 and 2002.
Dr Chantal Sciuto
Clinical Professor in Aesthetic Medicine, International School of Aesthetic Medicine, Fatebenefratelli Hospital, Rome, Italy. Dr Sciuto graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Catania, Italy, and obtained a postgraduate qualification in dermatology at the University of Rome before studying aesthetic medicine at Fatebenefratelli Hospital under the direction of Prof CA Bartoletti. She is a specialist in dermatology, aesthetic medicine and anti-aging therapies, as well as SAT and homotoxicology therapy, and worked in both Porto Alegre, Brasil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, before setting up her own aesthetic medicine and dermatology clinic in Rome. Dr Sciuto is a scientific advisor for numerous international cosmeceutical manufacturers – including ROC-Johnson & Johnson, Allergan and Colbar – as well as being a regular participant in television and radio broadcasts, and working as a health and medicine journalist for several prestigious magazines.
Mr Lucian Ion
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, UK. Mr. Ion is currently involved in research projects evaluating the role of 3-D photography for assessment and planning of facial surgery including rhinoplasty, implant surgery and rejuvenation, as well as planning for breast reshaping and liposuction. He has been featured in television documentaries on aesthetic surgery on Discovery Health and Channel 5, and has appeared in print media on topics including facial surgery, rhinoplasty and adopting new technologies in clinical practice.
Dawn Forshaw
Founder, co-owner and Managing Director of Finishing Touches, UK. The company was initially set up in 1996 as a clinic offering procedures for cosmetic and medical tattooing to clients in Dawn’s hair restoration company. Using pioneering procedures the company’s professionalism grew and Finishing Touches moved into training and supplying products to other UK technicians. Dawn was involved in writing the initial draft industry standards with HABIA, which is the benchmark set today by governmental authorities for the beauty sector. Finishing Touches have set the standards in medical tattooing to help create realistic results for patients. Dr Beatriz Molina
Cosmetic Physician, UK. Dr Molina has been Medical Director at Medikas since January 2006. She is a trainer in dermal fillers for cosmetic doctors, surgeons, dermatologists and healthcare professionals on the behalf of numerous pharmaceutical and aesthetic companies across Europe and has been involved in clinical trials with Evolence, Atlean and HA products.
Mrs Chien Kat
Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, UK. CC Kat was appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the University Hospital of Birmingham in October 2000, with a general plastic and breast interest. In 2010, she set up her own clinic, CC Kat Aesthetics, where she now works full time providing the full range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. As one of the founding members of the Nagor West Midlands Aesthetic Fellowship, CC Kat takes an active role in training the next generation of aesthetic surgeons.
Mr Hugh Henderson
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, UK. Mr Henderson worked as a Consultant Plastic & Hand Surgeon at Leicester Royal Infirmary, but retired from the NHS in 2006 to work in private practice. He is heavily involved in medico-legal wok and prepares on average 500 reports per year (for both Claimant and Defendant) and attends court to give expert evidence when required. Mr Henderson is a past council member of BAPRAS, and is also a member of BAAPS and BSSH.
Dr Ali Ghanem
Honorary Lecturer in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, UK. Dr Ghanem completed his basic surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and PhD in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology at University College London before starting his higher surgical training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Winner of the prestigious Arnold Huddard Medal of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Dr Ghanem is an Honorary Lecturer and member of the Faculty of the Centre for Coetaneous Research (CCR) at the Blizard Institute of Cell and Molecular Science of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Mr Ayham Al-Ayoubi
ENT, Facial Plastic and Laser Surgeon, UK. Mr Al-Ayoubi is an international leading surgeon in SmartLipo and Sculptra and is the leading SmartLipo MPX trainer surgeon in the UK. Mr Al-Ayoubi uses his own advanced techniques in various aspects of laser surgery, many of which have now been adopted by numerous plastic surgeons and cosmetic doctors including scar-free breast and neck lifting. Dr Ali Pirayesh
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Netherlands. Dr Pirayesh is Phd research associate and co-inventor of Glyaderm artificial skin. Dr Ariel Haus

Godfrey Town
Clinical technologist and scientist, UK. Godfrey specialises in the comparative measurement of IPL and laser devices and has published numerous scientific and clinical papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Godfrey runs workshops and training courses for healthcare professionals and therapists in private practice and for five years was an owner-manager of a successful UK private laser & IPL clinic. His LPA consultancy supports several hundred establishments using laser and IPL. He provides accredited ‘Core of Knowledge’ training, later tattoo removal courses, applications, clinical protocol, regulatory and safety procedure support. Godfrey supervises the clinical research programme for CyDen Ltd., Swansea and is currently undertaking PhD research in home-use light-based therapy as an Innovation Scholar at The Global Academy, University of Wales. He is an ASLMS fellow, ESLD and BMLA member, holds the RPA2000 Specialist Certificate in Non-ionising Radiation Protection (medical and research) and is a BSI Committee Member.
Mr Haroun Gajraj
Consultant Vascular Surgeon, UK and Medical Director of The VeinCare Centre and VeinCare Training: Mr Gajraj has been treating people with vein disorders for over 25 years. He received his training in London at St Thomas's and St George's Hospitals and was Consultant Vascular Surgeon in the NHS for nearly 15 years. He has established private vein clinics in the Southwest and treats varicose veins and thread veins by Sclerotherapy, Endo-venous Laser and Radio-frequency Ablation. Mr Shailesh Vadodaria
Consultant Plastic Surgeon, UK. Mr Vadodaria is at the forefront of Body Contouring and Liposuction procedures in the UK. He was the first Surgeon to use Radiofrequency Assisted Liposuction in the UK and is a national trainer on both RFAL and Laser Lipolysis. Mr Vadodaria has presented more than 50 papers in the national and international plastic surgical congresses. He has innovated new instruments, simulators and plastic surgical techniques which are published in peer reviewed plastic surgery journals. Dr Tapan Patel specialises in non surgical treatments. He qualified in Medicine and Surgery in 1996 from the University of London. Dr Patel founded the London based VIVA clinic in 2003 and works full time as the Medical director. His main area of interest is in the use of light and laser technology. Dr Raymond Brown is a Chartered Radiation Protection Professional (CRadP), MSRP RPA2000 Accredited Laser/IPL Protection Adviser and Laser/IPL Training & Education Consultant, Laser Education Limited. She completed her PhD at Loughborough University in the High Power Laser Department and was a lecturer in laser safety at Loughborough University where she developed laser safety courses in conjunction with the HPA.
